  The allegory of the twilight is a subject that has always fascinated me. As with all allegories (figure of speech by which a concept is expressed through images) reading levels of the painting are varied and often established with the client in the design phase.
The work was carried out on the ceiling of the canopy for a private residence near Campobasso.
The dimensions of the table are not immense Fernando Botero Bailarina painting and, being the upper part of a bed closed by curtains, the vision of the scene is tightly "bound" from lying down:
