Michael Godfrey (Michael Godfrey) famous American landscape painter, his works adorn many private and corporate collections. He was born in Germany in the year l958, but grew up in North Carolina, he studied at the University of East Carolina, graduating who received a bachelor's degree in fine arts. Over the past 25 years, Michael Godfrey has traveled extensively in the United States and Europe in search of spectacular landscapes and subjects for his paintings.

Preparing for each new picture he spends many hours doing field sketches and photographing to be "fully prepared" before you begin writing.

"Landscape painter must have some knowledge in many disciplines (geology, chemistry, physics, architecture) to understand the world in which he is trying to create. For landscape painter, this knowledge is as important as understanding what he was going to write. I ask myself, what is the dominant truth - the color, the shape of the landscape or the time of day? I'm still trying to figure it out. "
